Daily journal April 22, 2001, Earth Day, Missionary plane downed in Peru. Armageddon. I do not understand why such terrible things happen to such good people. Life is not fair and equal to all. Our reconnaissance plane watched as a Peruvian military jet shot and killed a young mother and her baby traveling to the mission field from home in Winston-Salem N.C. with the Baptist Church out of Cleveland Tennessee. Why do we pay these people to shoot down planes even if they were carrying contraband? Only God knows. So long as there is a devil lose, he will pursue God's people and I feel so very thankful to be alive and well considering that we were crucified in 1988 and resurrected then three years later. Other wise, I would never have known the power of the brush and just how corrupt this old world is. I'm just beginning to understand now the real ways of God and surrender my full life to Him who is able. When we put God first all other things will fall a long in time. It all looks so legal when they in the system strip you of every value thing. Acts 11-26 "And the Disciples of Christ were called Christian first at Antioch". Teach us to be Christian Lord I pray that we may serve you everyday with all our strength and care. About 500 million people in the world today call themselves Christian whether they are Christian or not. The Disciples of Christ separated themselves from the world and they became self-dependent on God and each other to survive in a hostile world. All of the world is hostile toward God and his people and greedy to take every last thing you have. We should not expect anymore or any different from the world unconverted and unsaved. I have survived but not without scars and we have survived. All that is important is how we feel now and if we are right with God in our daily service. Depression comes and it is devastating to think how it might of been except that it must have been all in God's will and plan. Ever breath we take is by the mercy of God and every thought we think is by his inspiration. Pray first and go looking later because this is the source of it all. What is lost and what is gain? Without God we have no life and we have no soul. Let us live in a state of readiness putting God first and being ever ready to serve in his field whatever. It is good to preserve God's earth from all the pollution that profit brings and some say progress as they know it, what is progress? The earth Movement for the most part, is not Christian but are evolutionist and deny God as creator of man and the universe. We are so near now I believe to the renewing of the earth by God almighty that we must wait on Him to renew and restore all things where our feet were planted and where we are to be. The world stands so quick and ready to destroy ones character and reputation as though it were right to do so. I have no respect for the blind news media engaged in such attacks upon decency and invasion of people's rights. I do not believe in most of what the news say. Let us live separate lives to honor God and to preserve ourselves. We set out on the deck this morning and enjoyed the fresh moist air with chirping of the birds in harmony with our spirits and beheld the wonder of God's great mercy and the creation for us all. I sit with my mother and am proud to serve her as she served me so long as a child. I am pretty lucky not to be persecuted like the Jews were in Germany but I still suffer from the memory of the past and should have done more to preserve the ground we acquired and that my father gave me but we are not to be attached to the earth, we do have a place to be free. I keep thinking how it could have been different had I have spoken out in just the right time to defy satan and his continued effort to take everything we have including our souls. Never let your guard down and never give up. God will ultimately restore life and land to live a thousand years without taxes to pay in that great day of occupation.
